Frequently asked questions
Who can buy the paid plans?
Paid plans are sold to organisations only — splicing teams, contracting companies, and sole-trader splicers operating as a registered business. Individual engineers cannot subscribe directly; your team's administrator provisions your account on the web dashboard, and you sign in to the mobile app using credentials issued by your team. The free tier is the only tier available for individual study or familiarisation.
Does it work offline?
Yes. All core features work 100% offline including diagnostics, SOR parsing, calculators, reference library, and learning modules. Only account creation, subscription verification (cached for 30 days), and AI queries require connectivity.
What OTDR manufacturers are supported?
TraceLogic parses standard Bellcore/Telcordia .sor files. It has been tested with EXFO equipment and should work with any OTDR that exports standard .sor files.
Can my organisation cancel anytime?
Yes. Organisation subscriptions are managed through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time by the team's administrator. The organisation retains access until the end of the billing period.
What platforms are supported?
TraceLogic runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets, with full iPad optimisation including split views and multi-column layouts. The mobile apps are sign-in only — accounts are provisioned by your organisation's administrator from the web dashboard. There is no in-app subscription or upgrade path on iOS or Android.
How does Company pricing work?
Company plans are priced per seat with a minimum of 2 seats. Each seat gives one engineer in your organisation full access. Company administrators can manage thresholds and view team activity from the web dashboard. Billing is to the organisation.
